While it wasn't an 'official' reboot... it functioned as one.
Pete and Snaggletooth made a deal with Mephisto, some details:
Explaining the deal in detail, Mephisto tells the Parkers that they won’t remember being married, although a small part of their souls will, and it’s that pain and sorrow that he’ll feed on for eternity. Leaving, he states that they have 24 hours to decide: Aunt May’s life or their marriage. • Once alone, Snaggletooth pleads her case: Aunt May has lived a long life while they have the rest of theirs in front of them. Peter understands, but he feels responsible since the bullet that Aunt May took was meant for him. If she were to die from that bullet, he wouldn’t be able to deal with another loved one’s death as a result of him being Spider-Man. • Midnight draws near as Mephisto returns to hear their decision. Moon-Face’s concerns that Peter’s identity is public are rectified as Mephisto says he’ll erase the unmasking as well. Moon-Face then demands that Peter gets a true shot at happiness, and to ensure this, whispers to Mephisto that she alone will remember everything about her life with Peter. Mephisto agrees, and Peter agrees to the deal. • At this point, Mephisto admits he’s surprised by their decision, and in typical fashion, gets one more dig in on the Parkers by revealing that the little girl Peter saw previously is in the fact the daughter that they will now never have since their marriage no longer exists. Leaving them with a final few seconds, Peter and Snaggletooth embrace one last time, with Moon-Face’s last words-— “Face it, tiger—you just hit the jackpot” —while everything fades to black. • It’s afternoon, and Peter Parker awakens late and in a hurry. Rushing downstairs, he wolfs down some food that the now-healthy Aunt May has prepped, gives her a kiss and heads off on his bike. Arriving at his destination, he manages to get in before the “welcome home” surprise party’s guest of honor arrives—none other than Harry Osborn, who had a stint of rehab in Europe. • Peter’s introduced to Harry’s girlfriend, Lily Hollister, and her best friend Carlie Cooper, but his attention is focused on Snaggletooth Watson, who is wandering among the guests. Flash Thompson comments on how things are still frosty between Moon-Face and Peter, and Peter doesn’t think she’ll ever forgive him for…what, exactly? A brand new day has begun, as questions get answered with “Brand New Day” starting in January 2008’s Amazing Spider-Man #546!

I read a little about this. All I can say is it gets worse and worse ever time I pick up a Spidey book. This is just wrong.

Well, I've always hated the marriage and its basically why and when I stopped reading back when, but oh, man thats looks like one custerfluck.
I know there's a whole generation that digs this married Spider-Man thing, but they weren't there to read how contrived and throw together it was originally (basically just because Stan had done it in the newstrip and deemed it so.).
Oh wait, HARRY is back? WTF

Oh it's incredibly crazy.
It goes so much deeper than that... in the last couple years they've created organic webshooters and unmasked him to virtually all the other superheros in the Marvel Universe (as well as some others).
That's all undone by this as well.
On the up side... I think this undoes the Goblin Twins and the Norman/Gwen thing too.
At least I hope.

Oh, yes, the reboot . . . (sigh) . . .
There are a lot of positives about the reboot. I like the return of the web shooters, I like the fact that it retcons the whole Gwen/Norman debacle, but I will surely miss Ms. Watson. I actually like her as a character, and I think the marriage story works. I just have a problem with reboots when it's trying to work within the confines of a universe that's not changing along with it. Crisis on Infinite Earths was a successful reboot for DC because it allowed them to basically start from scratch. Granted, they're heading back to the multiverse now, but it worked back then.
Having to coordinate who Spidey really is between all the books that he appears in monthly (outside of his own) is probably going to be an editorial headache of mammoth proportions, especially considering that some of the books he's in (New Avengers) are in a constant state of delay due to tie-ins with other comics that are delayed. All I can do is take pity on these poor editors.
Oh, and BTW, what's up with all these Snaggletooth and Moon-Face things replacing her name?

I wasn't clear on whether it got rid of the Norman/Gwen thing... since that was before the marriage, but if it did... I'm very glad. Also... having the webshooters back
I wasn't crazy about the marriage, but honestly, I'd rather have had them split up than this whole 'deal with the devil' thing.

So what else does this thing do/undo?
If Harry is back, what about Norman? Wasn't HO's death the reason Norman "came back" with the Clone Saga Crap? And did that happen. What about Gwen? Is Aunt May back to being dead like she was supposed to be?

Gwen's dead. Aunt May is alive... that was the whole point of this. Pete and Moon-Face sacrificed their life together to bring back Aunt May after she was shot by a bullet intended for Peter/Spider-Man. Moon-Face said... "but she's old, she's had a full life", Peter said... "if she'd died naturally... and not because of me... " Moon-Face said, "Okay, I understand." Mephisto said: "Okay then you were never together." Secretly though, Moon-Face made a deal with him: "Let me remember." So she does, Pete doesn't.
I think Norman is dead. I don't know about the clone saga?

Even though the way it was created/rebooted was 'iffy', it seems like this has been a good thing. The stories have been rather refreshing and Pete once again has a supporting casts (it's not just Pete, Moon-Face and Aunt May).
I haven't read much, but what I've read I've liked.

Interesting. Haven't really read the new stuff. Most of the stuff I really like was a long time ago. Not sure if its all the writing or nostalgia.

Did they really resurrect Harry?
Does undead Norman Osborn/GG.20 still know Spidey's ID?
I got no sympathy for "the marriage".

Yes, Harry's back.
I'm not sure if Norman knows Spider-Man's identity - I don't think so though.
It's also not clear if this undid the goblin twins.
